Pony Clubbers attend the West Kent Pony Club Show at Combe Bank School
8 members set off to take part in the West Kent Pony Club Show, for most of them it was their very first show. They arrived at the yard bright and early to prepare the ponies, and proceeded to groom and wash for a good hour. At 8.15am we set off for Combe Bank, taking two trailers and 4 ponies.
We arrived at the show a good 45 minutes before the start and unloaded and tacked the ponies up, the riders were very excited and keen to get going.
Taking part : Millie, Emily, Georgia, Maya, Lillian, Sophie, Honey and Poppy.
Everyone took part in the clear round and Emily and Georgia took part in Class 1 of the showjumping and Honey did Class 1 and 2.
We were so pleased when Emily and Honey were placed 5th and 6th in Class 1 and in Class 2 Honey came 3rd. The children looked the part, each and everyone of them was immaculately turned out as were the ponies, who all behaved perfectly.
We left the show with armfuls of rosettes and everyone is looking forward to their next outing.
